Is Hiring A Professional Cleaning Service The Right Choice For Your Office?

hmmProfessional cleaning services aren’t for everyone, but they work for a lot of people.  There are many benefits to be gained from using a professional cleaning service ranging anywhere from boosting workplace wellness, maintaining office aesthetics and maintenance and damage prevention.

Many businesses see these benefits and value behind a professional cleaning service, but some do not ask you the following three questions to help you decide if professional cleaning services are the right choice for your office.

Are Cleaning Tasks In The Office A Hassle-free?

If you find it difficult to find the time for cleaning tasks or its awkward delegating cleaning tasks to employees then cleaning is a hassle in your workplace. If you find yourself staying around after office hours to get some cleaning done after a long day, then your cleaning system is not working. Cleaning may also not be done up to standard due to lack of knowledge or tools and supplies. This causes stress, wastes time and doesn’t get the job done, all of which could be easily eliminated with the help of a professional cleaning service.

Is The Office Clean, Does It Impress You?

Take a walk around the office and try to look at it with the perspective of a stranger. What are your initial thoughts and impressions of the work areas cleanliness- is it up to your standard? If the answer is no, then something needs to change. Your employees deserve a clean, comfortable, healthy environment and so do you. By having a clean, hygienic environment employees will be happier and more productive, client’s customers and everyone who visits the office will be impressed, and your business will be better for it. Sometimes you have to take a second, step back and re-evaluate a situation before even realising it needs fixing.

Is the Current Cleaning System Effective?

Take a moment to sit down and document the time you or employees have spent cleaning, take count of all the money devoted to tools and supplies and evaluate if this is the most efficient way the time and money could have been spent. If it took your employee 3 hours to clean a bathroom at her regular wage and it takes a trained cleaning professional 1 hour at a lower wage than this is not the best situation for the business or the employee. If supplies are used up too quickly or results aren’t seen due to employee’s lack of knowledge around the products, then money is being wasted on improper use of supplies, and it may be better to bring in a company that comes equipped with supplies. By stopping to document and evaluate the time and money currently being spent on the cleaning system in action you will quickly realise whether your system is useful or could be improved.

If you answered yes to all three of the questions above, then your office most likely would not benefit from a professional cleaning service. If you answered no to any of the three questions, then it may be time to start looking for a professional cleaning service as soon as possible!
